This class 2, UL & cul listed enclosed electronic transformer is the perfect solution for wiring multiple low voltage fixtures. It features a 120V input and a 12V output with a power rating of 60 watts. Class 2 transformers are intrinsically safer transformers as they are compartmentalized to allow no greater than 5 amps of current to be drawn on each compartment.
The enclosure cover is easy to remove, and the transformer has knockouts on three sides with clips for line voltage wiring. Secondary wiring for class 2 transformers does not require conduit sheathed cable or clamp wiring techniques; non-metallic sheathed cable may be used for secondary wiring in walls and ceilings.
This transformer has a low minimum load requirement of 1W, allowing the use of LED products. It may be dimmed using an electronic low voltage dimmer, offering soft start, short and overload circuit protection features. The transformer is suitable for use with WAC Lighting's low voltage under cabinet and recessed lighting systems.
Transformers that end with -s include a lead wire for line and straight edge under cabinet systems, while those that end with -t include a lead wire for invisiled 24V tape light systems. Intrinsically safe, class 2 transformers permit no greater than a 5 amp current to be drawn.
The input voltage is 120V AC, and the output voltage is 12V AC. The transformer is available in various load capacities: 60 Watts, 120 Watts, 180 Watts, and 300 Watts. It offers smooth and continuous dimming with an electronic low voltage dimmer, which should always be installed on the primary side of the transformer.
Adhering to class 2, UL & cul standards, this enclosed electronic transformer is suitable for damp locations and can power most cabinet fixtures. It features LED indicator lights, providing a visual indication of the transformer's power status.
