Modular 120V Track systems can be designed for multiple applications in nearly any interior environment. These systems are equipped with current limiters that are used to restrict the total load on the track, which may be required in certain applications or municipalities based on energy conservation requirements. Available in a variety of styles and total load ratings, WAC Current Limiters are easy to install and ensure compliance with California Title 24 or ASHRAE 90.1 requirements.

There are two styles of current limiters available for "H" style track: an Octagonal Live End Feed that fits over a standard 4-inch octagonal junction box, or a Slim Live End Feed that can be installed as a surface or suspension-mounted current limiter.

Energy code track installations are subject to wattage limitations based on the size and usage of the space. It is important to order the appropriate current limiter by selecting the model number that corresponds to the H system with the required amperage rating. WAC current limiters are typically manufactured in 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 7, and 10 amp versions.

If the track is overloaded, the current limiter circuit breaker will trip and shut down power to the track. The power can be reset when the overall sum of fixture wattages is reduced below the circuit breaker rating.
