Designed to be used as a plug-and-play style transformer, this low-voltage plug-in class 2 electronic transformer features a 120V AC input and a 24V AC output with a 60-watt load. The transformer contains an on/off toggle switch at the base and a 72-inch detachable cord with an open splice, making it ideal for multiple runs of low-voltage fixtures such as under-cabinet and display luminaires.
The transformer is inherently protected and power-limited, safeguarding the lighting system from both normal and abnormal short circuits. It boasts built-in auto reset, soft start, short, and overload circuit protection features. The soft start delayed start feature extends lamp life by delaying the abrupt inrush current to the lamp.
Intrinsically safe, the class 2 transformer permits no greater than a 5-amp current to be drawn, ensuring the safety of the system. This transformer is designed to support low-load LED systems, with a minimum load of 1 watt.
Smooth and continuous dimming is achieved through the use of an electronic low-voltage dimmer, which should always be installed on the primary side of the transformer. The transformer is UL and cUL listed for damp locations, meeting the necessary safety standards.
